State of Massachusetts Human Services Intern (Contracted Student Intern) in Worcester, Massachusetts

The Department of Mental Health, Central Mass Area Child Youth and Family Services Division is seeking an eager and dynamic intern for the summer. This internship will provide understanding of the DMH system and knowledge of human service agencies/resources offered throughout the Central Mass Area. Internship activities involve but not limited to: * Complete client visits at home, school, hospital or programs with supervision, Introduction to oral /written psychosocial assessment. * Develop oral and written skills through completing mental status exams and client psychosocial assessments. * Assess applicant’s functioning and primary diagnosis. * Participate in writing recommendation summaries for level of care screenings. * Coordinate multi-provider team meetings to learn the benefits of strong collaboration that prioritizes clinical interventions needed. * Participate in Site/Area team meetings, service utilization, quality management, and contract/ budget development. _Preferred Qualifications_ * Currently in pursuit of a human services career with an interest in behavioral health * Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency. * Proficient in Microsoft Office _Period of Service:_ May 28, 2024 through August 30, 2024 _Additional Information:_ Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals. All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. The salary for this position is$18.00an hour.
