Summary Responsible for the quality management system; quality department; and the programming and set-up of the computer numerical control (CNC) mills in the Wixom facilities, including Classic Precision, Hosco and Integrated Dispense Solutions. Responsibilities * Oversees the quality management system and quality department staff * Conducts first-piece and final inspections * Communicates with the customers' quality personnel to coordinate quality requirements * Writes standard operating procedures for quality management system * Participates with management in determining the viability of new programs * Programs and sets up the CNC mills * Assists in the processing of new parts * Helps CNC operators and programmers with trouble-shooting * Tracks raw material certifications * Keeps the process sheets up to date * Estimates run and set-up times to assist sales management with quotes * Tracks training levels of employees and maintains training records * Leads quality meetings; participates in meetings with other departments, suppliers, and customers * Complies with company's business and human resources policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; standard operating procedures; CLIA, HIPAA, OIG requirements and applicable local, State, and Federal regulations * Performs other related duties as needed and assigned * Two years of technical or trade school or specialized training or education beyond high school.
