Fairway Engineering LLC has an opening for the position of Civil Design Engineer (Ref# CDE429AG).

Work Location:  28525 Beck Rd., Suite 114, Wixom, MI  48393.

Job Duties:  Design site/plot plans for new developments according to standards and regulations for private single family home development projects.  Design detention ponds for land development projects.  Responsible for the production of site civil plans, grading plans, SESC plans, standard details, and as- built plans.  Design calculations of shallow and deep foundation for the new construction of single-family homes.  Design parking lots and driveways rough grading and maintaining minimum drainage slope.  Assist the Project Manager with the design of retaining walls for high slope areas.  Develop design and specifications based on building codes and permits.  Design storm water management calculations of catchment area for predevelopment projects.  Prepare plans and specifications, analyzing alternatives and developing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.  Provide construction administration such as review and response to applications, submittals, claims and interpreting plans, specifications, and bid documents.  Use of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Pix4D, and MS Office.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.  Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Project Engineer or related experience.  Position requires 2 years of experience with Civil 3D.  40hrs/week.
