What You Will Be Doing
Preparing complete accurate estimates for all contract types (hard bid, time and material, GMP, design-build proposals, etc.)
Reporting directly to Project Management team
Building relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, engineers, and architects
Attending on-site pre-bid proposal conferences
Preparing project bid status reports and ensuring compliance with all specifications and contract requirements
Preparing project schedules and cost summary sheets
Performing quantity takeoffs
Maintaining an accurate database with cost codes and historical data
Reviewing company jobs and comparing to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate
What You Need for this Position
5+ years of relevant estimating experience and:
Bachelors Degree (Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specs
Advanced knowledge of Timberline, Adobe, Bluebeam, ISQFT and Excel
Excellent multitasking and deadline management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Precon experience PREFERRED
