Description:

Loyola University Medical Center is in search of a dynamic healthcare leader to serve as Regional Director of Medical Group Finance for the Illinois and Indiana health care ministries and support the mission of treating the human spirit. This person will work closely with the Vice President of Medical Group Finance for the Illinois and Indiana health care ministries. The role will have great exposure to senior leadership and support compensation planning, annual planning, rolling forecasts, and month end close, among many other rewarding activities. The ideal candidate has experience with compensation, financial modeling and staff development.

What you will do:

PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION – Directs the daily activity related to managing the physician compensation plan. This includes working collaboratively to establish and maintain WRVU targets, compensation targets, CFTE data, as well as managing mid-year and annual changes to this data. Directs the quarterly and annual incentive and bonus payouts to physicians, according to compensation plan guidelines. Performs financial analysis related to compensation models and scenarios, including historical trending. Provides staff support, including data analysis and reviewing fair market value compensation standards, identifying outliers for further review, for the Compensation Committee.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORTING – Directs business intelligence reporting for professional services. Ensures that necessary internal controls, resources, and technologies are in place to enable accurate, timely, and useful reporting. Collaborates with physicians, department administrators, and other key stakeholders to enhance reports and access to data to meet the business needs of the organization. Ensures that reported data is consistent and complete.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS/MANAGEMENT - Analyzes financial performance of the PNO and investigates variances to budget and unexpected trends. Coordinates annual activities for the PNO and works with LUHS finance team to ensure budgets are properly loaded. Oversees maintenance of the "3 percent" accounts. Monitors revenue and expense trending and works with Department Administrators to investigate variances. Prepares financial analysis and provides staff support for the PNO Finance Committee

FORECASTING – Develop analyses that inform quarterly volume forecasting (RVUs and Visits). Identify trends for long-range planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration.

  • 10+ years of work-related experience.

  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
