JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY This is a year-round internship; applicants must be able to devote 20 hours per week while in school during regular business hours. The Supply Chain Intern will build on their in-process higher education knowledge to gain skills and experience in data entry and data maintenance for a manufacturing organization. This role will work collaboratively with a cross functional team with a primary focus on supply chain, operations, planning and purchasing activities. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Daily cycle counts and work cross-functionally with receiving team Communicate status and any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teams Non-conformance follow ups (work cross-functionally to track down material inaccuracies) Assist with the documentation of supply chain processes and best practices Assist in the creation of process improvement projects Transact and physically return items to stock Partner with appropriate teams to elicit, analyze, document and deliver supply chain solutions Use SAP to analyze core steel reconciliations Generate daily QA Hold Report Collaborate with purchasing to get parts in stock that are frequently short in the storeroom Utilize analytical skills to help anticipate and react to inventory trends while assessing vendor performance Update Operations status boards KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook Effective communication skills and maintain positive attitude Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment Self-sufficient and problem solver Attention to project detail Customer service skills Ability to multitask while staying organized EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent Currently attending college or recent graduate in the Supply Chain field ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Key Working Relationships Supply Chain Team Operations Team Physical Demands Some lifting up to 15 lbs.
