JOB SUMMARY

Location BSWH McClinton Cancer Center Waco TX

Shift PRN Variable 4hr to 8hr Sifts Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

Preferred Experience Must be a phlebotomist with at least 2yr of phlebotomy experience Will be required to work 2-3 days per week can be full 8hr or flexible with 4 hour morning shifts in the mornings Must be able to work in a high volume outpatient setting

The Phlebotomist 1 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.

• Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.

• Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.

• Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.

• Performs clerical duties.

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent

• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
