Our role as the nation’s largest and most experienced Financial Management Service provider is to assist those eligible Medicaid recipients to choose and pay for their own support workers and services within their state-approved personalized budget. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement DevOps solutions for multiple PPL’s Azure environments and applications.

  • Design and develop tools for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on our Cloud-based systems.

  • Establish and employ continuous integration practices and tools, along with, employing continuous delivery patterns and working collaboratively with developers to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions and engaging in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.

  • Deploy and maintain Azure AKS clusters using Terraform and deploy components using Helm charts.

  • Deploy and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS services like Azure Functions, App Service, App Config, Service Bus, API Management, etc.

  • Develop, integrate, and deploy software builds, tools and artifacts to multiple environments.

  • Maintain broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.

  • Manage GIT version control system and play an important role in version control efforts and ensure that the most current version of the software includes all the necessary updates.

  • Understand and employ the techniques and tools used to troubleshoot performance and availability issues, job failures, and other erroneous and undesired system performance, including the proactive monitoring and alerting of systems, debugging tools, and diagnostic tools.

  • Work closely with other developers, clients, and project managers to determine the functional requirements of the software or application, then uses various scripting and programming languages to develop, test, and deploy the software.

  • Resolve software issues including reviewing user-reported bugs, crash logs, and software reviews to identify areas that need improvement and attention.

  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.

  • Maintain necessary documentation and runbooks for operational activities.

  • Support continuous delivery programs in which patches, new versions, and bug fixes are more frequently deployed to end users without sacrificing stability or reliability.

  • Oversee and contribute code to many ongoing projects at once, ensuring that versions are up to date and delivering stable performance to end users.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps Services.

  • Strong experience in building CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments of applications to Azure IaaS and PaaS services.

  • Strong experience with container technologies like Azure AKS/Kubernetes, Docker and building Heml charts.

  • Advanced understanding of Security Protocols & Products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth and service principles.

  • Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems, Git experience highly desired.

  • Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform and ARM templates and with Powershell scripting.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively by engaging both application and infrastructure SMEs, as well as by assisting technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Experience working with various DBMS, particularly SQL.

  • Experience working with Windows and SQL Server environments.

  • Ability to work self-directed, plan and execute projects involving multiple technical resources and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work both independently and on a team.

  • Ability to handle a broad range of tasks with multiple priorities.

  • Robust attention to detail and tracking.

  • Highly motivated, able to learn quickly, and accountable for committed results.

  • Adept and passionate for learning latest technologies.

  • May frequently be required to work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends.

  • Advanced computer skills and experience in Microsoft Products.

  • Preferred: Experience with C#, .NET technology stack

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer

  • 4+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, Azure IaaS and PaaS services

  • 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Azure AKS

  • 4+ years of experience with scripting: Terraform, Powershell, Python, JSON, Yaml, ARM, HELM chart

  • 4+ years of experience with CI CD pipelines

Certification: Azure Administrator Associate

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support secure, scalable, and highly available solutions across multi-cloud environment.

  • Support, respond to, and resolve problems affecting cloud systems performance, efficiency, and availability.

  • Use GIT and automation tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, etc. to implement and manage end-to-end automation.

  • Participate in sessions with product, business teams on capacity planning, and cost management.

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of business development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness, infrastructure flexibility, and performance.

  • Manage multiple cloud accounts and adhere to standards of confidentiality, security, and privacy.

  • Share expertise throughout the organization and may provide user training for products.

  • Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce development plans that ensure high-quality, low-cost solutions and systems.

  • Update technical documentation, runbooks, ops guides, and presentations when needed.

  • Work with end users, product analysts, and developers to understand features and technical implementations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services: VM, IAM, VNET, Storage, ARM, NSG, load balancer, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management

• Demonstrable experience with programming/scripting in some combination of Python, PowerShell, JSON, JavaScript

• Experience with cloud configuration, monitoring services: Azure Policy, Azure Monitor

• Familiarity with container managed services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

• Demonstrate experience in working with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and components: load balancers, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls

• Working experience in building and configuring secure, stable, and enterprise level infrastructure

• Excellent organization, time management, problem solving, & analytical skills

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and experience

Experience:

1+ years of experience in public cloud (Azure) implementation, and support

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager and configuration management tools including Ansible, Chef, Puppet

Experience in working with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor/App Insights/Log Analytics, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog

Experience with at least one (preferably more) of the following languages: Python, PowerShell, JSON, JavaScript

Experience configuring and deploying Windows and Linux based infrastructure and operating systems, including day-to-day system administration experience.

Experience with compliancy standards and frameworks: SOC2, HIPPA, NIST, ITIL, ISO 27001

Certification:

Azure Administrator Associate, preferred

The base pay for this role is between $115,000 -$139,000; base pay may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Certain positions may also be eligible for a performance-based incentive as part of total compensation.
