IHG General Maintenance in Malta

Our Maintenance Department is looking for a General Maintenance person to join the team.This post calls for a dynamic, career-oriented individual willing to develop the career. Safety is very important to Intercontinental Hotels Group and we therefore pay a lot of attention to it. You will work in a friendly team where there is plenty of room to development and self improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Carries out maintenance of structural metal fixtures of buildings as per the scheduled maintenance program and preventive maintenance program.

  2. Assists the engineering departments with handy work around the hotel as required.

  3. Responds to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public areas in a timely manner.

  4. Inspect electrical cords and outlets for any signs of damage or wear.

  5. Replace damaged cords and have a professional electrician address any electrical issues to ensure safety.

  6. Performs preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.

  7. Responds to work requests or room inspection reports submitted by other departments.

  8. Responds to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.

  9. Maintains working area and makes sure that all working areas remain clean at all times.

Skills and experience:

· Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation for fault finding of equipment.

· Able to work on own initiative, as well as in a team.

· Be clean, tidy and well-organized.

· Similar hotel experience with refrigeration and HVAC experience.

· Able to communicate fluently in English.

· Able to work evening, nights and weekends as per our business demands.
