Hidden Level Controller in Syracuse, New York

Controller at Hidden Level

As a Controller at Hidden Level you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, treasury and cash management. Reports to the CFO.

As a Controller at Hidden Level, you can expect to...

  • Manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

  • Coordinates and prepares internal and external financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and the annual budget.

  • Provides management with information vital to the decision-making process.

  • Assesses current accounting operations and offers recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.

  • Evaluates accounting and internal control systems.

  • Develops and monitors business performance metrics.

  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.

  • Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.

  • Coordinates activities of external auditors.

  • Oversee development of standard labor and overhead rates, product costing, and inventory valuation.

  • Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and current accounting standards.

  • Manage investment of cash.

  • Leads budget and forecasting processes to drive improved profitability including the development of key metrics for tracking and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly performance.

  • Works closely with department managers to generate accounting information and solutions needed to improve our service to both internal and external customers.

  • Maintains strong communication with other departments.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; CPA preferred.

  • Proven experience of 5 or more years of accounting in public or private company.

  • Cost Accounting Standards and FAR/DFARs knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance, accounting processes, budgeting, cost accounting, internal controls, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Strong ability to leverage technology to drive efficiencies and quality in processes.

  • Must have high ethical standards & demonstrate positive professional image.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Deltek Cost Point DCAA Compliance Software a plus

  • Working knowledge of DAAS, SAAS, and government contract accounting a plus.

  • Basic understanding of the following types of contracts: Cost Reimbursement, IDIQ, Competitive, CPFF, Firm-Fixed Price.

  • Ability to encourage change to drive improvements.

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $115,000 to $140,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
