Google Central Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, gTech in Sunnyvale, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree

  • 2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders

  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field (Business, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Technical)

  • Experience with analytical tools/techniques (SQL, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, spreadsheet software)

  • Experience implementing strategic and large-scale initiatives projects in a demanding, change-oriented, fast-paced environment with a high degree of deadline-driven productivity

  • Knowledge of best practices in business operations, service operations, customer support operations, internet/online media

  • Proven ability to work with different team members to design processes and implement strategic projects that solve business problems

  • High proficiency with structuring strategic analysis and messaging using spreadsheets and presentations

The Strategy and Operations Lead is responsible for devising and enabling gTech’s overall strategic and annual plans, analyzing metrics to drive business performance, and delivering high visibility strategic projects across gTech.

In this role, you will be exposed to Google’s support and services operations across a wide range of products and customers. You will be responsible for aligning vertical operating teams across gTech, and will work cross-functionally with finance, vertical gTech teams, Sales Operations and People Operations on developing plans, and setting and monitoring gTech’s performance against our business goals. You’ll also provide thought leadership by delivering compelling analyses to support data-driven decision making, have the opportunity to shape how we deliver customer care, and how we drive efficiencies across a global operations team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Act as a strategic partner to the business supporting the leadership on service transformations, operational accuracy, organizational initiatives, and help chart and fulfill big bets for the business in line with the leadership’s strategic vision.

  • Define, launch and drive strategic and analytical initiatives to directly and indirectly improve customer experience, improve internal and external facing processes and operations, working closely with cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, and senior leadership.

  • Be able to problem solve with senior leaders to deliver strategic insights and recommendations based on business analyses.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in annual business planning, headcount management, key organizational metrics, and operationally strategic projects.

  • Identify gaps and propose changes to existing policy, systems, and frameworks. Develop scalable solutions, work to manage risks across the organization, and develop best practices that are a benefit across the organization.
