Do you have strong communication skills and a desire to advance your career? As a Payroll Clerk for one of our Transport clients, you would help the Payroll department succeed. This vacancy is based in the Stockton, California area and is a permanent opportunity. Entering data, reconciling timecards, distributing paychecks, and providing statements to various departments are among the duties of the position. Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

• Be able to create and run custom reports

• Make reports easily accessible by administer/saving them as instructed

• Complete other duties as assigned

• Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

• Instruct and train employees in the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

• Contact employees via email and phone to collect timesheet approvals

  Requirements - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

• Prevailing Wage experience

• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

• Outstanding data entry skills

• Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks

• Previous payroll experience

• Proficient in Payroll software

• Eagerness to master new systems
