Job Description

The Director of Engineering is responsible for providing management and leadership for a Production and NIP Environment. This role is responsible for strategic business planning and ensures the organization and technological growth while keeping up with industry and academic advancements in order to identify advanced technologies or markets.

Job Duties

Accountability for quality, cost, and delivery for all projects in a program. Excels in execution; Works proactively with the PMO & Manufacturing to oversee Production deliverables for OTD, Cost reduction, innovation, and efficiency gains; Direct PLM & ERP system execution in a high mix low volume environment; Drives efficiencies in development by implementing platforms, efficient tools and methods. Works with site leaders and Director- Engineering Strategy and Technology to establish best development practices; Efficiently organizes work within the program, removes roadblocks in real-time by collaborating with program leads and other parts of the business; Leads the engineering disciplines within the program to ensure product performance and quality exceeds customers’ expectations. Passionate to deliver products on time with high quality; Responsible for Program Baseline (Key program milestones, top-down budget by program components, key performance parameter, Program Org Chart,) in accordance with the Corporate Product Roadmap; Manages business, customer, and staff expectations

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering discipline

• 10+ years experience in product development of technically challenging products

• 5+ years experience in leadership role overseeing and/or managing engineers
