The Salvation Army Northwest Division Retreat Assistant- Extra On Call in Spokane, Washington

Description POSITION TITLE: On-Call Retreat Assistant REPORTS TO: Camp Director- Ronald Molina SUMMARY: Our retreat program is intended to provide a relaxed and wholesome atmosphere in which visiting groups may draw closer to God. This is a team ministry incorporating all staff members. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.) Assisting the cook in preparing and serving meals. 2.) Assisting the cook in clean up of the kitchen and dining hall areas. 3.) Cleaning and preparing cabins and building for retreat groups when necessary. 4.) Assisting all staff in facilitating a trouble free weekend for the retreat group. 5.) Helping out as needed during the retreat by: checking, cleaning and stocking bathrooms; helping set-up buildings as necessary; responding to the needs of the group whenever possible; operating the camp store "canteen" when necessary. EXPERIENCE: At least 16 years old with a current Washington State Health Card. Able to follow directions and respect authority. Able to work unsupervised. EDUCATION: High school graduate or current student. SUPERVISION AND AUTHORITY: The Retreat Assistant will be under the supervision of the Resident Director. All employees are a part of the "team" that work for the benefit of the guests.
