Responsibilities

Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in behavioral health services. May perform all or part of the assigned duties of a Counselor-Behavioral Health Licensed.

  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.

  • Serve as a technical or functional resource, and aid with audits of performance improvement and patient outcome measures. Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Conduct patient assessments, establish therapy treatment goals, and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

  • Administer individual and/or group therapy. Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

  • Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any level accepted.

  • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any level accepted.

  • Counselor specializing in Alcohol and Drug Abuse credentialed from the Michigan Certification Board for Addition Professionals (MCBAP) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Therapist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted.

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
