As the Senior Project Engineer- Hydrology and Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for the design of stormwater management, open channel projects, hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling, and preparation of regulatory permit applications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare permits for State and Federal regulatory compliance

• Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) analysis, stormwater design, open- channel flow analysis and should have experience with stormwater management regulations

• Complete assignments on a schedule and within the project budgets

• Attend project meetings with the clients

• Passion for continued learning to keep abreast of the changing State and Federal regulations

• Desire to be exposed to a wide variety of engineering challenges

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written skills

• Ability to work independently

• Manage time efficiently

• Excellent writing skills for preparing reports

• Site plan design

• Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required

• 5-10 years of experience in environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS

• Familiarity with NJDEP, ACOE, and NYDEC regulations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Design of Green Infrastructure BMPs (Best Management Practices) for stormwater management

• Previous work in this discipline is required

• Experience in the following:

• The candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, as well as good communication and report writing skills H&H Modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, SWMM, or any other H&H program is desirable)
