Ford Motor Company Engineering Specialist, Process - Afternoon Shift (3-11pm) in Sharonville, Ohio

In this position...

The Process Engineer – Launch will lead and support Health and Safety initiatives, quality planning and improvements, analysis and all launch activities.

What you'll do...

  • Lead/Support Health and Safety initiatives. (Protag, Risk Assessments, safety and housekeeping tours, special projects, etc.)

  • Lead/support quality planning and improvements utilizing quality tools and processes such as capability analysis, gauge R&R, DCP, FMEA, error proofing and Six Sigma.

  • Lead/Support Spare Part analysis and setup using PTME standards.

  • Lead/Support the drawing management process for all projects.

  • Lead/Support all Launches activities, including Plant documentation such as OIS/JSA, Workstation Readiness, all Pass-Through Characteristics (PTCs) are Controlled and documented.

  • Support new program ROC, analysis and review constraint packages.

  • Lead/Support programs to ensure RTY /FTT are complaint to program intent.

  • Support the program on Planning and Workforce Readiness (LP&WR).

  • Support and Validate all IT System for 100% validation (FIS, ANDON QLSCM, etc.)

  • Support/work with production team to ensure all system PM are setup in Maximo.

  • Lead/Support all Launch PPAP’s, setup and implement new program Dynamic Control Plan (DCP).

  • Deliver aligned assembly/machining processes through the system development, simultaneous engineering, build, runoff, installation, and commissioning phases.

  • Ensures projects comply with relevant specifications, codes, regulations and Health and Safety regulations.

  • Participate in the cost study process for New Programs with the PTME and Plant Teams. Support cost estimating activities for in-house projects.

  • Write Projects including quotes, forecasts, timing and justification as required.

  • Support environmental activities to comply with regulations and standards.

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment (internship and coop experience will be considered)

Even better, you may have...

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • 2 or more years in the automotive industry

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience

  • 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem solving skills

  • Solid understanding of Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping

  • Familiarity with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience

  • Knowledge of TQM and Kaizen Methods

  • FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience

  • Validated experience with Visual Factory Management

  • Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experience

  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

This position is a range of salary grades 6 and 7.
