If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Mechanical Engineer, EIT opportunity. The position is based in Seattle, WA locations. As a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training, you'll be part of our dynamic team, contributing to mechanical systems design for industrial, commercial, wastewater, and water facilities. Your work will span system expansions, total replacements, and new facility construction. Your Role:

  • Support the development of mechanical system design, including HVAC, water/wastewater/stormwater treatment pumping sytems from concept phase through construction under the direction of a Professional Engineer including the development of construction documents.
  • Support design team in preparation of construction drawings, specifications, memos, cost estimates, and detailed engineering reports and supporting documents, following standard engineering practices.
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
  • Collect and enter data using Microsoft and other database applications for technical evaluation.
  • Interpret data and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to choose the best solution, solve problems, and ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines and utility infrastructure
  • Perform site visits to support the design process
  • Provide construction support services: Attend field meetings, review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information
  • Provide CADD design/drafting for projects as needed
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective and compliant manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred
  • REVIT/BIM experience preferred; AutoCAD experience preferred.
