The Sonos Automation Infrastructure Engineering team is focused on building and maintaining the software delivery pipelines that keep our customer experiences ahead of the curve. As an automation infrastructure engineer at Sonos, you'll work with the team to create and maintain the continuous integration and software delivery pipelines for Sonos. You'll design, develop, and improve test automation infrastructure and frameworks, continuous integration engines, artifact repositories, and workflow automation. Your goal is to make it easy and efficient for software tests to be executed in an automated workflow with reliable results for our development teams. This is a critical role for a test tools and software pipeline aficionado who wants to work in a modern environment creating a great product that people love. If this sounds like you, let's talk about this. This role is hybrid This role requires 2 weeks of in-office training during the onboarding process at our Boston or Seattle office locations. Further office time will be required on an ad hoc basis. Qualified candidates must live within commuting distance of our Boston or Seattle office locations. What You'll Do CI servers (Jenkins) Cloud infrastructure (AWS) Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes) Source control management systems (Git and GitHub) Test frameworks (Pytest) Enterprise repository management systems (Artifactory) Workflow management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Google Suite) Communication with external stakeholders Part of on-call rotation to deal with critical issues What You'll Need Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. Basic Qualifications Commutable distance from our Seattle or Boston office locations An undergraduate degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent work experience 2-3 years experience in an Software Developer in Test (SDET) or DevOps or related role Strong programming experience (Python, Java, Groovy) Experience automating workflows between source control systems (Git based), CI systems (Jenkins or other), and Agile project management tools (Jira or other) Experience with cloud based infrastructure (AWS or other) Basic data analytics skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Shell script experience (Bash) Experience with containers (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) Metrics dashboard creation and analysis (DataDog) At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience.
