A trusted client of Randstad's has an immediate opening for an experienced Authorization Specialist. This is a remote opportunity, but MUST be located in WA, OR or NV. Schedule is Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. PST. Saturday & Sunday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.- will have an alternate work schedule 2 days off during the week. Schedules will be given based on business needs. If interested, with an updated resume.

Responsibilities

• Print/sort/prioritize CDS census report for their own individual & assigned RN cases to be worked on for the day – Inpatient census

• Print CDS census report for the “in process authorizations”/pending PPG decision

• Call Hospitals for members admission/discharge status

• Email to the RN - admission/discharge status info received from phone calls

• Data entry of admission/discharge status info received from hospital into Unity

• Decision making status on cases based on Health Net criteria if cases are to be routed/followed by an RN or continued to be followed by the UMC.

• New auth creations for discharge disposition (throughout the day)

• RN support for auth creation, inquiry checks, manual letter generation, milecalc, corrections (throughout the day)

• Department pager for urgent hospital inquiries on inpatient admissions
