Description:

As a member of the R&D team, you will assist with the development of methods for detection, identification, and quantification of small molecules found in the chemical processes and formulated products, help establish quality control protocols for commercial products, provide hands-on technical assistance to maintain analytical equipment, and analyze samples to support various projects. Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems, are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Routine analysis and evaluation of raw materials and products at all stages of the development process under stringent quality and time requirements with GC, HPLC, GCMS, or NMR.

• Preparation of chemical solutions.

• Routine maintenance of analytical equipment; troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.

• Upkeep of glassware, lab area, and equipment. Organization and storage of chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.

• Working in collaboration with the Analytical and Product Chemistry Team to develop, validate, and standardize analytical methods for detection and quantification of small molecules found in chemical process samples, active ingredients, and formulated products.

• Assistance in the preparation of research reports and Standard Operating Procedures for internal and external use.

• Anticipation of additional resources, consumables, and equipment requirements as needed to ensure that work can be completed within the expected timeline.

• Maintenance of a safe and orderly laboratory and compliance with all safety policies and practices.
