Job Title: Estimator

Job Description

We're seeking a diligent Estimator to join our team. Your responsibilities will include surveying projects, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and project timelines to customers. With a keen attention to detail, you'll estimate projects from a bird’s-eye view to set expectations accurately. Your tasks will include fulfilling client appointments in a timely manner, assessing project requirements, reading blueprints, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation, and maintaining thorough records of all project documentation. You will also present estimates to clients in a professional manner, recommend cost-reduction options and assist the sales team in final project preparation transactions.

Hard Skills

• At least 2 years of estimating experience in construction

• Experience with bidding on projects

• Writing proposals

• Doing change orders

• Comfortable with going on site to different locations

Soft Skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Ability to set accurate expectations

• Timely fulfillment of client appointments

• Professional demeanor when presenting estimates to clients

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sanford, Florida.

Work Environment

The work environment is an office setting as well as on the road for site visits locally.
