As the manager of the Network Automation team, you will help the team deliver on the various systems and tools to deliver world class performance, availability and security.

About the Team

The Network Engineering Automation team is responsible for the software systems that enable our networking teams to design, build, scale, instrument, and operate Zooms networks.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining network automation scripts, tools, and workflows using in house developed systems and tools, incorporating with other open source and commercial systems/products.

• Implementing and troubleshooting network automation solutions for various network devices, platforms, and services, such as routers, switches, firewalls

• Integrating network automation solutions with other systems and tools, such as monitoring, logging, configuration management, orchestration.

• Documenting and testing network automation solutions to ensure that they are aligned with the network design and architecture.

• Researching and evaluating new network automation technologies and trends and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Managing a distributed team of Network Automation engineers both in person and remotely.

What we’re looking for

• Have a Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS.

• Have hands-on experience on scripting, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, GO

• Relevant years of experience in network engineering, administration, or operations, with a focus on network automation.

• Experience in working with various network devices, platforms, and services, such as Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto

• Understand common network protocols and network architecture (such as BGP, ARP, NDP), Kubernetes CNI principles(e.g. Calico), and kernel network stack.

• Experience managing teams and individuals including development, head count planning, roadmap development, goal setting, and measured outcomes

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$140,400.00

Maximum:

$324,500.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
