Lead Product Manager, Mobile

Role Overview:

The Lead Product Manager, Mobile plays a critical role in driving the development and growth of McAfee mobile security products. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of mobile applications to ensure the highest level of protection and user experience for our customers.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead the product development process, from ideation to launch, and continuously optimize our mobile solutions to meet the evolving needs of our consumers. This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our San Jose, CA office on as-needed basis. We will only consider candidates who are in a commutable distance to San Jose, CA and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive mobile product strategy aligned with the overall company vision. Create and manage a clear and actionable product roadmap to achieve business objectives and drive product growth.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends, opportunities, and customer pain points. Use insights to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.

  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and QA, to define product requirements and specifications. Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

  • User Experience (UX): Advocate for a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, secure, and visually appealing mobile interfaces.

  • Product Performance and Optimization: Analyze product metrics, user feedback, and data insights to measure the performance and effectiveness of the mobile products. Continuously identify areas for improvement and optimization to enhance user satisfaction and security.

  • Security and Privacy Compliance : Ensure that mobile products adhere to the highest security standards and industry best practices. Stay updated on the latest security threats and compliance regulations to safeguard customer data and privacy.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop go-to-market strategies for new mobile product releases. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product awareness, adoption, and customer acquisition.

  • Product Training and Support: Collaborate with the customer support team to ensure they are equipped to provide effective support for mobile products. Develop product training materials for internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to align product priorities and foster a collaborative work environment. Keep all relevant teams informed about product updates and developments.

About you:

  • Proven experience: 10 years as a Product Manager with a focus on mobile applications and consumer-facing products

  • Strong understanding of mobile app development, UX/UI principles, and security best practices

  • Experience in consumer security products or a related industry is highly desirable

  • Proficiency in using product management tools, data analytics, and project management software

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making

  • Sense of ownership and sense of urgency

  • Understand the impact of changes and upgrades you make

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
