MEDECO SECURITY LOCK Manufacturing Engineer in SALEM, Virginia

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will support, oversee, and improve the production processes, tooling, equipment, and materials related to the overall operation. This is a hands-on operations support position requiring a strong technical background and project management skills to work effectively with other departments and individuals to meet company goals and objectives. 1. Support, troubleshoot, and problem solve issues with production processes and equipment 2. Manage and support the install of new equipment which also includes the training of associates in safe and efficient operation of the equipment 3. Lead improvement initiatives that reduce cost, improve quality, and improve delivery 4. Manage capital projects for Operations 5. Develop/design fixtures, tools, processes or machines that enhance work flow, improve productivity and reduce costs 6. Review production equipment, hardware, and tooling and make recommendations for repairs or replacement 7. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 1. BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 2. Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines 3. Knowledge of production principles and techniques 4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills 5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 6.
