Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

The Op Model Portfolio Enablement Consultant leads the strategic execution of the TOM (Target Operating Model) design. The Enablement Consultant brings expertise in planning, sequencing, and execution across organization-wide efforts, in-depth knowledge of the firm's strategic ambition, and a demonstrated high level of business acumen and systems thinking. The Enablement Consultant maps and tracks the phases and workstreams included in TOM design capturing milestones, progress, and dependencies against outcomes, summarized in documentation for leaders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership to instill confidence in the quality and pace of the work and outcomes. The Enablement Consultant also drives the necessary process development to support TOM design. The Enablement Consultant will partner with the Project Coordinator to lead support for the planning and execution of TOMG meetings and working sessions, as well as other strategic execution support for the portfolio.

What You'll Do:

• Lead process development to support the execution and implementation of the TOM design choices.

  1. Segment TOM design work into workstreams with strategic execution plans and reporting for each workstream.

  2. Sequence the workstreams of TOM design enabling overarching strategic execution of the design and implementation.

  3. Design, activate, and document implementation plans that articulate milestones and progress against those milestones, including SJOs, dependencies, and status of the work.

• Partner with SJOs to document progress toward milestones, risks, and dependencies resulting in action plans that promote on-track completion of work.

• Write and prepare materials to facilitate senior leader discussions regarding TOM design.

• Support preparation for the Target Operating Model Group (TOMG) meetings and working sessions.

• In partnership with Project Coordinator, lead documentation and tracking of TOMG actions and decisions.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $113810

Hiring Maximum: $193785

Skills/Requirements

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience enabling the strategic execution of top priority firmwide efforts spanning multiple teams, functions, and/or business segments.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in large scale and complex business projects or challenges

• Has a strong understanding of business acumen and strategy and a growing understanding of the overall firm and the competitive environment.

• Ability to visualize milestones, risks, and dependencies of multiple in-flight workstreams at multiple altitudes for different key audiences.

• Expert knowledge of project-management tools and experience in mid to large scale projects.

• experience coaching and influencing leaders to appreciate and leverage a holistic approach to improving firm performance.

• Experience sharing verbal and written presentation of analysis in support of firm strategy to senior leaders.

• Strong facilitation and communication skills and experience facilitating and leading an executive audience through large scale interventions and change.

• Demonstrated initiative and sound judgement to take constructive action with little or no direction from others.

Problem-Solving:

• Must be able to identify and solve broad, complex, and non-routine problems involving multiple business areas, competing priorities, and a diverse set of disciplines, data sources, and issues simultaneously; often very quickly and with creativity and a human-centered approach.

Decision-Making:

• Decisions will be broad (firmwide) and with lasting implications to many areas (including our 40k+ associates and clients).

• Decisions are unlikely to have any precedent, but may set future precedent, and will involve a high degree of economic, emotional, legal, regulatory, and/or cultural impact.

• Decisions will be complex and involve analysis of multiple sources of data and much integration due to unforeseen implications elsewhere in the firm.

• Decisions and recommendations may influence large and long-term financial commitments.

Span of Influence:

• Scope of work will broadly influence business results firmwide.

• Implementation of broad strategy that often requires influencing leaders, including executive leaders, without direct authority.

*Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
