ACCOUNT CLERK III / FINANCE DEPARTMENT
JOB OVERVIEW:The purpose of this position is to perform the accounts payable function for all County departments. This position acts under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- The purpose of this position is to perform the accounts payable function for all County departments. This position acts under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.
- Issues payments as necessary.
- Responds to inquiries from vendors, county staff, and department heads about accounts payable.
- Scans invoices into financial software.
- Answers and responds to vendor and departmental telephone calls.
- Verifies and balances all banks for each check run.
- Maintains check register for Risk Management.
- Reconciles the County credit card statement against approved credit card authorization forms.
- Disseminates all check for accounts payable, including Jury, Elections, payroll and emergencies.
