ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries. Our Rochester Hills, MI location is seeking Sales Manager Service Parts to join our team.

THE POSITION

Execute all sales activities for service parts on all customers for OESL. Responsible to execute customer sales management of Quotations and planning (forecasting, budget/SPL) to support profit targets. Execute all task within sales process, as well as commercial activities in the PLC (G100-G110: Change Mgmt., Annual Pricing Negotiations, Spare parts).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Commercial activities during the after sales phase of the product life cycle (e.g., Cost and Price Tracking, Change Request etc.)

  • Lead spare part price negotiation in collaboration with sales administration

  • Planning data (Budget, Volume, Sales etc.)

  • Identify customer needs and white spots

  • "Handling of Customer related external and internal reporting tools

  • Explanation: Inputting data into reporting tools

  • Ensure communication between internal and external business partners

  • Manage quotation and invoicing of customer tooling, services (e.g., Test Cost, Engineering Cost)

  • Manage Spare Part Activities (Costing, Offer, Negotiation, Analysis) in collaboration with other Sales Manager or Product Sales

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Electrical /Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Economics / B2B Marketing. In lieu of no degree a minimum of 10 years plus of experience in sales

  • 5 years’ experience in sales and / or engineering and /or project management in automotive business

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Travel (within North America) 10% max

  • Solid knowledge of appropriate project management tools and work methods.

  • Creates a negotiation strategy and implements it in face-to-face negotiation meetings.

  • Manage and coordinate the entire sales process.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree

  • 7 years’ experience in sales and / or engineering and /or project management in automotive business

  • Managing financial data: Analysis planning, monitoring and acting, reporting.

  • Solid understanding of automotive legislation trends in the regions of interest.

  • Solid knowledge of technology changes based on OEM and end user behavior.
