Description THE OPPORTUNITY The Chief Operating Officer - Providence Clinical Network will be expected to have made measurable progress or achieved the following key objectives within the first 18 to 24 months (not listed in order of priority). Aligning medical groups, retail clinics, ASCs, ambulatory imaging clinics, and urgent care centers across multiple markets, under the Providence brand, to deliver Mission driven, patient centered, high value care in achievement of the quadruple aim. Forming a culturally and operationally appropriate version of a unified Providence Clinical Network across multiple states. Creating vertical cultural and operational connectivity and standardization as a system medical group while honoring regional operating authority, governance, and community need. Prioritizing strategies, initiatives, and resources to accelerate performance improvement across our PCN regions amid tremendous growth and change. Shaping and influencing the role of the medical group, including physician leadership, in broader transformational strategies at system, division, region and IDN levels. Shaping the future business model that sustains our ministries and growing demands on physician employment. Continually improving the effectiveness of our physician recruitment efforts. Identifying and implementing value added infrastructure that compliments regional resources and skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Partner in the formation and leadership of Providence Clinical Network Leadership Councils, and related governance councils as required. Develop strategies, systems, and structures to maximize the value, expressed by the triple aim that each physician group brings to the community. Work with the team to develop a strong patient and provider identity across the system and strategically integrate at the service area. Establish standardized operational, financial, and quality performance benchmarks and measurement methodology as well as short term and long-term success metrics and related dashboard. Lead the market assessments of group practice performance. Ensure minimum spec recommendations for regional physician infrastructure. Assess and implement against opportunities for coordinated, standardized and/or centralized infrastructure. Guide priorities and service of existing shared resources such as physician and advance practice professional recruitment, physician compensation and fair market value analysis, physician contracting. Ensure the development of guiding principles and standards for other services as opportunities emerge and oversee implementation and ongoing performance of said services. Monitor physician integration strategies across Providence. Provide consulting resources for development of physician group merger and acquisition transactions. Develop recommendations around new models of care and physician partnership structures. In conjunction with OSBD, develop BOAT MD refinements and participate in ongoing project evaluation. Identification of systems and structures to support excellence in group practice operations. Opportunities could include research, technology assessment, data analysis, negotiations, & due diligence Develop scorekeeping or reporting capabilities to monitor performance and key strategic drivers across PH&S. Provide a forum for knowledge transfer of best practices in physician practice operations and physician integration strategies and ensure rapid adoption within PH&S. Ensure physician recruitment strategies are achieved. In collaboration with the VP of Human Resources, assists in the provision of leadership development initiatives to cultivate physician leaders system wide.
