Roles and Responsibilities :

In this role, you will lead GE Vernova’s HR M&A activities including pre-sign deal support to Business Development (BD) & HR teams for “people operations” aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, and JVs. You will work with GE Vernova’s BD teams to understand and track global confidential deal pipeline, support establishing compliant and deliverable global employee transfer mechanisms for deals (“step plans”) and provide significant support to BD and HR teams in confidential due diligence ensuring standard and compliant approaches. This role influences a range of stakeholders to accomplish strategic priorities. Additionally, you will serve as a single point of contact to advise on HR Legal Entity strategy and simplification opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Trusted partner advising GE Vernova BD and HR early in deal cycle (pre-sign) on decisions and strategy in “people operations” aspects of divestiture separation and acquisition integration.

• Represent GE Vernova People Ops during early stages of deals, influence deal structure where possible.

• Advise deal teams on adjacent HR areas, providing expert technical guidance to minimize needing additional employees under NDA.

• Offer proposals based on understanding deal needs and business capabilities. Able to answer buyer/seller questions, and to educate on GE Vernova People Operations platforms and processes.

• Work with GE Vernova BD teams to understand global, confidential dynamic deal pipeline and anticipate potential People Operations impacts.

• Establish employee transfer mechanisms with Tax, Finance, Legal, and business teams (GESA/TSA/Day 1).

• Ensure GE Vernova’s high standards of ethics and compliance during project strategic planning and ensure GE Vernova standards are included and complete for Employee Matters Agreement (EMA) globally. Negotiate deal HR terms and agreements with potential targets.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, attorneys, industry experts, and GE Vernova stakeholders

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of acquired businesses and de-integration of divested/ outsourced work.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on status of M&A activities

•Support business reorganization activity and demand planning coordination within People Operations (eg. Capacity planning on new payroll/ benefits integrations)

•Serve as HR Point of Contact with GE Vernova Legal Entity governance team to assess simplification opportunities and liaise with local teams on entity landscape.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) or equivalent knowledge or experience and significant relevant work experience with exposure to M&A and/or legal entity structure.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies, ideally within a multinational organization

  • Travel may be required, as needed, to support the team and customers within the region

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing work environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries, with comfort and efficiency

Desired Characteristics

• Significant Mergers and Acquisitions experience including experience with post-merger integration and operation due diligence as well as transition services management.

• Ability to energize and lead and drive change in complex, matrix, goal-driven, team-orientated service

organizations

• Demonstrated experience in making strategic decisions, and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders

• Demonstrated success managing projects and/or implementing process improvement initiatives

•Ability to reconcile/integrate competing interests.

• Strong analytical and clear-thinking skills; ability to identify trends and implement process improvements

If contracted in the US:

The salary range for this position is $120,700.00 - 160,900.00 - 201,100.00 USD . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus.
