Job Title: Infotainment and Telematics Test Engineer

Location: Redwood City, Ca (North-side almost in Belmont)

What You Will Be Doing

  • Create and update test procedures, plans, and test routes with a focus on North American market specifications in order to efficiently carry out laboratory and field tests.

  • Test execution and coordination

  • Error and Bug-Fix verification

  • Work with automotive suppliers in the testing of hardware and software

  • Maintain and operate infotainment test-bench systems in a laboratory environment

System and error analysis

  • Pre-analyze system behavior in error situations

  • Determine if a system malfunction can be reproduced

  • Cluster and categorize error patterns

What You Need for this Position

  • Two years or more in software testing or software development

  • Master/Bachelor degree in engineering (electrical, automotive, computer science)

  • Solid proficiency in coding/testing (one year minimum) one or more of the following technologies: embedded automotive infotainment, voice recognition, mobile communication, user interface programming/testing

Pluses

  • Prior experience at an automotive OEM or tier1 is desired but not required

  • Passion for high quality, ability to find and expose quality insufficiencies in automotive electronics systems

  • Curiosity to understand the automotive customer of the future

  • Passion for cars and car electronics

  • Experience with DOORS requirements management system
