KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Rotating Equipment Construction/Commissioning Superintendent to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility’s location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

Aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

The Rotating Equipment Construction/Commissioning Superintendent to provide direct supervision of crew members. This role will be responsible for creating and applying engineering, manufacturer, and API Standards for all rotating equipment. Shares responsibility for the direct quality assurance of all rotating equipment preserved, installed, commissioned, start-up and maintained on the construction project.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities:

  • Direct job preplanning, work scope and critical path planning. Integrate critical path with area construction principals to reduce idle time

  • Monitor, review and manage record keeping for work performed on all rotating equipment, including electronically written reports provided to KZJV Safety, QA/QC, and Venture Global Management to help in maintaining all procedures, drawings, manuals for all rotating equipment

  • Responsible for safety and loss prevention in all aspects of the construction job site, working knowledge of the safety rules and requirements in all construction areas

  • Council others on safety, including intervening when necessary & interface with all construction disciplines to maintain a Safe Workplace.

  • Monitor the experience level of all personnel as required to provide a safe workplace & work with the appropriate management to assure training and proper procedures are followed and maintained

  • Monitor, counsel, & evaluate team’s job performance

  • Direct involvement in troubleshooting or repairing and providing solutions to quality problems

  • Pro-active problem solving

  • Maintain records on jobs, equipment problems, procedure changes, etc.

  • Recognize and respond to the Construction Project’s needs in a timely and professional manner 24/7 if needed

  • Direct, support, practice, and implement written standards and goals

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • In lieu of formal education 18 + years of directly related experience

  • Or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 10 + years of directly related experience with average experience of 15 + years
