Summary

The purpose of this position is to lead capital improvement activities to support plant operations. This individual will be a key member of plant leadership team and will help set strategic direction for plant investments. As the Project Engineering Manager this individual will lead, coach and develop plant engineering and other technical resources. Key accountabilities include plant capital management, supervision of staff, and tobe a plant wide resource by working with other engineering, production and maintenance teams to address technical and compliance issues as they occur.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the development and implementation of the facility capital plan.

• Responsible for the safe implementation, installation, startup of capital projects

• Responsible for scope definition and alignment, resource management, budget and schedule management for the numerous capital projects at the plant.

• Prioritize and balance workload based on risk assessments and plant needs/priorities.

• Develop plans for long range site essential investments to ensure infrastructure integrity.

• Supervise and lead a team of project engineers, electrical engineers and process control personnel.

• Manage key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure expectations are met.

• Ensure the success in meeting both plant and departmental objectives and goals.

Typical Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from 4 year college or university.

Relevant Experience

• 10+ years of related experience leading project engineering teams and projects

• 3+ years managing project engineers and other staff

• Experience selecting and managing outside resources

• Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial facility

• PC literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project and AutoCAD from Autodesk

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Communicates effectively at all levels

• Able to organize and lead teams, develop plan, and execution strategies

• Able to analyze data, limited at times, and arrive at appropriate decisions in a timely manner
