Pay Range: $66,699 - $120,117

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: Rutland or Manchester, VT or Berkshire County, MA

Purpose/Objective :

A senior relationship banking driven role, with strong emphasis on originating new Business Banking relationships, servicing existing relationships and cross selling other bank services. Serves Business Banking customers with revenues between $5MM and $25MM and borrowing needs of $500,000 to $3-5MM.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Independently executes a calling program to self-originate Business Banking relationships in accordance with bank policies and revenue objectives. Responsible for retention and growth of assigned customer loan portfolio, with an emphasis on proactive client contact and cross-sell. 60%

  • Exhibiting strong sales skills, the Senior Business Banking Officer independently identifies and actively cross-sells the full suite of bank products, making referrals to other lines of business to generate interest and non-interest income within specified goals including, but not limited to Berkshire Insurance, Wealth Management, Cash Management, and Merchant Processing. 20%

  • Works within their assigned geographic markets in joint calling efforts with other departments to uncover lending and cross sell opportunities. 10%

  • Engages in networking to develop COI’s and referrals to Berkshire. Build upon relationships to grow the brand of the Bank within the business community. 10%

  • Ensures all transactions adhere to sound risk management/pricing practices as well as all internal credit/regulatory requirements. Monitors portfolio to ensure accurate risk profile and to minimize documentation exceptions.

  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or finance or equivalent financial experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a business banking lender

  • Strong customer service experience to include process driven outbound calling

  • Proven track record of working in partnership to achieve goals

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of credit and loan structures.

  • Strong computer and analytical skills

  • Solid customer service, communication, and presentation skills
