CyberCoders UX/UI Designer in Penticton, British Columbia
We are growing! Our solutions are moving to the cloud and we need a talented, creative UX/UI Designer to join our team.
In this role you will learn to understand our business requirements and technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes. The UX designer will also design the overall functionality of our software solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will:
Work closely with our customers, C-level executives, development team and others, and you will be responsible for the UX strategy which is the blueprint that will help drive development, visual design and ultimately the customer experience
Create information architecture by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for our products
Define how an application will look and work in different platforms and browsers
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
Work with the team to shape a project's overall creative output and maintain quality
Introduce, support and encourage compliance with UX/UI best practices
What You Need for this Position
2 years' experience in UX development, preferably within an Agile team environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required. Formal education in the fields of Visual Design, Communications, or Psychology are also beneficial.
Expertise in standard UX software such as InVision , Axure, UXPin, Balsamiq, OmniGraffle and the like is a must
Big picture thinker, creative with strong collaborative and communication skills
Able to build low/high fidelity mock-ups for Web and Mobile applications
Passionate about resolving user pain points through highly functional, visually appealing, design
Known for your keen attention to detail and skills in typography, iconography, visual design principles, readability, and legibility
You love brainstorming and can aim a nerf cannon like it's an extension of yourself
Demonstrated knowledge of responsive design principles, user interaction design and experience and possess a clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design
Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
Proven ability to regularly deliver design solutions for approval in a timely manner
Ability to rapidly produce multiple visual UI/UX concepts for comparison and prototyping
