JBT Corporation Software Engineer - C# and .NET in Pennsylvania, United States

Overview Reporting to the Sr. Manager of R&D, the Software Engineer designs and develops software solutions that control a fleet of automated guided vehicles. You will design innovative solutions sets that include both standard (forked, unit load, towing) and custom automatic guided vehicle (AGV) designs along with the software, used to automate the factory floor. You will design AGVs for hospital, manufacturing, distribution, and food/beverage applications,  just to name a few.  Benefits are included with this position on day one! 401K, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.  Responsibilities Responsibilities: Works with the Software Architect and other members of the team to aid in the design and implementation of software solutions. This includes new development and fixing software problems on the current platform as needed. Software development and implementation occurs within the Microsoft Windows development environment using Agile Methodologies and Jira. Completes assignments as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Participates in design and code reviews. Travels up to 10%, when needed to customer sites. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or Engineering required. 5 or more years of development experience using C # .NET preferred Design/architectural patterns implemented within software frameworks. Ability to understanding complex software architectures. Ability to document and present software architecture and/or designs .NET Framework and Core experience required. Object oriented development. Experienced with multi-threaded applications. C# Skills C# Generics LINQ Lambda Expressions Extensions Data Sets XML/JSON Serialization/De-Serialization Event Handlers Web Services (REST and SOAP) Experience with SQL databases Analyze and resolve bugs in new and existing software. Create and maintain documentation for new and existing software. Create and test software prototypes. Ability to work independently or with a small team on complex projects. Experience working on Agile projects as a member of a scrum team Collaborates with other team members to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs. Able to travel 10% domestic and internationally.
