Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, your role will encompass a variety of tasks related to tooling repair and fabrication. You will be required to set up and operate a range of machine tools such as lathes and milling machines. Your work will involve crafting metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. You will be interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications, determining the sequence of operations, calculating the number of cuts needed, and planning the method of setup. Your role will involve using machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments, making standard shop computations, laying out stock for machining, and fitting and assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment. You will also be tasked with determining the material, parts, and equipment required. You will set up and run CNC machining centers, generate and modify CNC programs on various types of CNC controllers, and utilize CAM to create CNC programs from CAD generated solid models. You may also be required to monitor and verify quality in line with statistical process or other control procedures.
