OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reports directly to the Inventory Control Manager and will interface on a regular basis with all Distribution personnel in regard to inventory transactions, cycle counts, daily audits of appropriate warehouse locations, and reports. Also, interfaces with various members of finance/accounting in regard to various inventory reports and product status.

This person will have responsibility for the identification, movement, and control of inventory affected by stock evaluations/holds (NCR, nonconformance reports) including reporting, analysis, and orders. Job also includes the creation of reports necessary to support Inventory Control and financial requests. This person will work independently to accomplish tasks with minimal need for direct supervision on a daily basis.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the movement, traceability, audit trail, accountability, and proper controls of stock evaluations and stock holds, including NCR disposition material.

  • Works closely with the Quality department to coordinate the required inspections of inventory, when requested, while maintaining the proper controls of the items and lots for all warehouses.

  • Manages the cycle count function as primary the facilitator of appropriate cycle counts for all warehouse locations, including creation, distribution to appropriate departments for counting, and coordination with finance/accounting on cycle count closure to meet Synthes (J&J) Standard Operating.

  • Creation of KPI reports to support the Inventory Control department’s business needs.

  • Evaluation of inventory for proper stocking and storage within guidelines supplied by Inventory Control and Materials management for inventory levels within selected warehouse locations.

  • Coordination of inventory movement to support projects directed by Manager of Inventory Control, including (but not limited to) project management MDA requests.

  • Support the efforts to pull products from inventory and move products to staging, while awaiting material destruction authorization (MDA) approvals or appropriate disposition.

  • Coordinate scrap pickup from approved supplier after MDA approval to reduce inventory space on hand.

  • Conduct audits of inventory, when directed to ensure compliance to FIFO and shelf-life control procedures.

  • Special projects and overtime as required by Inventory Control Manager, Material Services Manager, or Plant Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 3 years of direct Inventory Control experience is required.

  • Proficient working knowledge of ERP (SAP) systems.

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency with formulas and tables.

  • Modula WMS Software experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or high school education with progressive experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Job requires a regular amount of walking within the Manufacturing facility.

  • Occasional lifting of material weighting more than 50 lbs. is required.

  • Work is detailed; concentrated mental/visual attention is required to plan and perform work while maintaining accuracy.

  • A high degree of detailed work required

  • Good oral and written communication skills along with the ability to multitask on a daily basis
