Title: Senior Software DeveloperLocation: New York, NY Duties: Oversee, manage and implement multifaceted software development projects for U.S. clients. Maintain and develop frontend- and backend software projects and native iOS applications with Swift. Communicate with internal and third-party APIs. Create user-facing websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript. Build backend services and APIs using Javascript, Typescript, Scala or Java. Deploy large, complex interactive applications for new and existing clients. Oversee technical project delivery and project management and responsible for strategic planning and developing engineering team practices to ensure client deliverables are on time and on track. Lead client-facing meetings on development projects with emerging applications. Train and coach client on use and execution of software implemented by Reaktor. Work with clients to determine their business objectives and develop a software development strategy to meet those objectives. Review each client’s portfolio and needs to determine the optimal software enhancement that they will require.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in the position offered or related including 5 years of experience with: Software engineering including Project Management, requirements gathering and analysis, architecture design, development and implementation, testing and support; working in an Agile software development environment using programming languages including JavaScript, Typescript, Scala, Swift, or Java; working in an Agile software development environment using web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript; performing Agile project management in managing complicated collocated or hybrid software projects (Scrum, Lean, or similar); performing Agile project management using collaboration tools including Atlassian’s JIRA or Trello; and performing online payment processor integration. $170,000 - $180,000/ per year.SUBMIT RESUME OR CONTACT:Submit resume to Reaktor, Inc. at careers-ny@reaktor.com with subject “Senior Software Developer”.
