Manager, Engineering - Marketplace (DigitalOcean, LLC; New York, NY): Lead a team of remote engineering team to design, build and architect a complete app store (Marketplace) environment. Lead the team to achieve high standards of performance and product quality. Accountable for the team’s performance and quality. Guide agile ceremonies and effective participation in agile processes, including process improvements. Collaborate with product owners, enterprise/staff architects and cross-functional teams to design simple, elegant, and operationally sustainable software solutions. Develop growth plans, provide feedback, and support the goals of the individual team members and the team as a whole. Facilitate transparent, constructive communication and a fair, but growth-oriented, distribution of responsibilities between team members. Support the professional goals and development opportunities for the team by providing coaching and counseling via mentoring, one-on-one meetings and regular performance appraisals.
