We are looking for a Fullstack Senior Software Engineer to join our Guide Me team. You will build experiences that help QuickBooks and Mailchimp customers leverage the power of our combined products to grow their businesses. This role will bring our products, data, and AI capabilities together to give our users complete confidence in their leads and customer relationships. You can expect to own the implementation of the team’s technical vision and empower other engineers on the team as you work across the codebase.

The ideal candidate has experience building and operating large web applications, plus familiarity with current technology trends and patterns. They should also be a skilled communicator and collaborator comfortable working across multiple teams and departments.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace (https://www.intuit.com/careers/return-to-work-plan/) , giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Atlanta, GA, New York, or Mountain View, CA office two or more days per week.

What you'll bring

• You have 4 or more years of experience building and operating large web applications and extensive experience working within large-scale development

• You are as comfortable working with and improving upon legacy systems and code as you are building new features and applications.

• You have strong communication and collaboration skills.

• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a software development environment, with capability in frontend and backend development.

• You have experience developing new and enhancing existing features as well as investigating and resolving defects.

• You adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.

• You ensure quality by performing thorough testing and leveraging peer reviews for your work and the work of others.

• You have experience with PHP, Go, React JS, and/or Google Cloud Platform/AWS.

How you will lead

• You’ll write and maintain scalable, efficient code for the Mailchimp.

• You’ll work with design and engineering team members to build features from concept through implementation.

• You'll spearhead efforts to establish patterns and processes, and lead the team through examples in your own work.

• You'll develop and enhance new and existing features as well as investigate and resolve defects.

• You'll empower team members by providing technical guidance and collaboration.

• You'll remain up-to-date on evolving tools and patterns for managing infrastructure and guiding our implementation of them.

• You'll help scope, estimate, and prioritize work.
