Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in their Morristown Office. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead mid to large multidiscipline transportation projects.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):
Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety.
Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements.
Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget.
Responsible for client satisfaction.
Provide team leadership.
Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians
Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model
Assists with the implementation of the New jersey/New York Area marketing and business development goals
Assists with writing proposals and making presentations
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility
Perform Independent Reviews of major projects
Served as lead designer on projects as required

Qualifications
What you bring to our firm:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering field required
10 plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects
Strong communications skills
Project management and contract administration experience
Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates
Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology
Licensed NJ Professional Engineer required
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for NJ Turnpike Authority, NJDOT and local agencies
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
