Xylem Procurement Project Manager , New Product & Value Engineering in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy

Responsibilities Procurement Project Manager:

  • Coordinate and organize procurement resources & activities in product development and value engineering projects within WATER PUMPS & CIRUCULATOR EU (multisites)

  • Deliver New Product Development Procurement Process in accordance with the Agile Stage/Gate model and the mandatory deliverables (incl controlling documents & checklists for procurement activities) and secure compliance.

  • Support the Agile Xylem Product Development Procurement transformation within WATER PUMPS & CIRCULATOR EU in order to speed up Time to Market, keeping focus on Quality and cost effectiveness.

  • Being active part (project buyer & coordinator) in product development project activities aligned with Xylem sourcing strategies and commodity team.

  • Support to develop Procurement Annual Plans for Water Pumps & circulator EU with special focus on value engineering activities (includes identifying VE opportunities) and Xylem PD savings

  • Initiate, manage and be active part in value engineering Idea Generation, activities/projects.

Required qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or Economics field (master degree preferred).

  • Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes with broad technical expertise

  • at least 2-5 years of experience in roles like Procurement, Engineering PM, and Project Management in advanced manufacturing companies with basic knowledge of the commercial side

  • Availability to travel 10% to visit local suppliers plus plant visits (Poland, Hungary, etc.)

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in New Product Development and Research & project management

  • Procurement experience with good negotiation skills

  • Agile methodology experience and or waterfall / stage & gate project management knowledge

  • Experience in Idea Generation Methodology for product cost reduction

  • Experience in international project

Soft skills:

  • Ability to translate concepts, strategies and technical development/landmarks to competitive manufacturing and sourcing processes

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of manufacturing organization and capabilities

  • Capable of working in a team environment involving diverse cultures.

LOCATION : Montecchio Maggiore (VI)

CONTRACT : Permanent, full time

SMART WORKING : 2 days per week

BENEFIT : company canteen + company bonus
