Actalent Superintendent in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commercial construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Supervise and mentor on-site staff, including assistant superintendents, foremen, and laborers.

  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and documentation of any changes or deviations from plans.

  • Collaborate with project management team to develop and update project schedules and budgets as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to address concerns and ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.

  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
