FTE: 0.001000 Shift: 1st Schedule: Pick-up shifts that become available within department. Must pick-up a minimum of 6 shifts (48 hours) every 6 weeks. To include: 24 anytime hours, 8 hours on 2nd shift, and 8 hours on weekend where at least 4 hours are worked off shifts (2nd shift after 1500). Work at least 2 holidays per calendar year on 2nd shift. Job Summary: Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non-technical, and clerical functions. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: Completion of approved Phlebotomy program including clinicals with a minimum of 100 draws OR 6 months of related health care experience including direct patient contact. Phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory/phlebotomy setting, inpatient and/or outpatient drawsEDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. LICENSURE: ASCP certification preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
