BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT In this role you will assume the role of a lead teacher in collaboration with the classroom Primary Teacher(s) to provide care for the children enrolled in an assigned classroom while maintaining a welcoming, organized and safe environment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Treat all of the children with dignity and respect.
Manage the overall health, safety, and care of each individual child within care.
Maintain confidentiality of the children and parents.
Work well with peers and supervisors through collaboration and effective communication.
Give children autonomy over their learning by incorporating various materials to enhance the children’s learning while collecting data, sharing photos/videos of developmental goals being met.
Provide positive guidance and redirection of children when needed.
Communicating effectively and in a timely manner through written notes and updates on daily reports for parents to access throughout the day.
Participate in parent meetings when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
Completed Introduction to The Childcare Profession or equivalent course.
Upon hire, fingerprint, health exam and TB Test required (by the company)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
PREFERRED
Skills & Strategies for the Child Care Teacher course or equivalent completed
Fundamentals of Infant/Toddler course
Educational background in Elementary Education or related field of study.
Prior experience in a group childcare setting
First Aid/CPR Certified
Mandated Reporter Certified
Abusive Head Trauma Certified
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Able to lift 40lbs
Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, twisting, walking and moving at a fast pace
Scheduled for a 40 hour work week with a shift varying upon the CDC hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
