The Senior Manager Finance Operations will be responsible for supporting the field team and helping them drive performance in their market. This position requires strong: 1) financial and accounting interpretive and explicative skills to understand accounting and financial data and present it as actionable information to operational personnel; 2) analytical skills with the ability to take disparate sources of information and transform them into actionable insights; and 3) the organizational, leadership and collaborative skills to partner with operational personnel in implementing financially relevant solutions. The successful candidate should be able to work both within the finance organization and with other teams within Somatus to provide timely information to the field leadership team.

This position requires you to be on site at our HQ in Mclean, VA.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager Finance Operations will focus on the following major strategic areas:

· Interface with department owners to understand variances between actual performance and budget.

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate insights and explain financial performance to operational personnel.

· Translate financial and accounting data into data that is actionable by operating personnel

· Work with operating personnel to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives based upon financial performance.

· Manage and Track KPIs to ensure the business is meeting its fiscal goals.

· Ability to structure a resilient, automated reporting infrastructure.

· Experience with large data sets and ability to transform data into information and recommendations.

· Support Operations team with FTE tracking and analysis.

· Responsible for the creation of Management Reporting.

· Be part of the budgeting and planning team.

· Provide ROI analysis for operational strategies.

· Perform research and analysis as required.

· Challenge processes and develop recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.

· Experience working in the healthcare industry

· Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting related roles.

· Expert-level computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· Strong alignment with workplace culture.

· Intermediate proficiency in Power BI and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Combination of health plan and health care delivery system finance experience preferred.

· Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
