Barnes Group Inc Head of Global Product Management (Remote) in Maumee, Ohio

Description Core Responsibilities: Responsible for creating and implementing an integrated global product strategy across the MCS product lines in line with Barnes and MCS BU global strategy Works outside-in Lead strategic pricing decisions for assigned product lines, per target market, per region Conduct regular Profitability analysis with data and analytics to understand and identify key markets and segments, customer applications and assess customer unmet needs and analyze competitive solutions across regions. Define what a winning solution looks like Develop 3Y product roadmaps for our next generation products with top line and investment view Establishes sound business cases ensuring continued investment is made in the right projects while also displaying the leadership and courage to recommend when projects should be killed, recycled, or shelved. Coordinate with R&D, Engineering, Sales, Marketing & other cross functional team to ensure all aspects of new products are coordinated for market success. Providing consultative product support and commercial tools to help sales increase market penetration on existing products. Support and monitors products launch success and works with sales and marketing to establish promotional schedules and ensure sales growth and evaluation of current product portfolio and suggest actions for margin expansion or SKU exit/ tail cutting Accountable for product data, ensure data integrity within marketing channels (e.g. website) Identifies, shares, and leverages best practices across the product team Together with R&D develop products in accordance with the Phase Gate process. Effectively leverages the BES Barnes Enterprise System in daily work Functional owner of the global product mgmt. team and results. Build an effective global product team; lead, coach and mentor members of the Product Team to grow skill and competence. Direct manager for NA product managers and Indirect managers (dotted line) for EU product mgrs. Owner of product information system (Inriver PIM) and product information management Adherence to the Barnes Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Qualifications: 8+ prior years of experience within principles of Product Management: portfolio management, product development, pricing or project management. Experience as manager, remote management a plus Global experience, preferred A proven track record of implementing and successfully executing to strategies in a high-performance work environment.
