The Lead Project Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for technical deliverables of customized bioprocessing equipment on projects for Cytiva customers.

This position is part of the custom upstream systems team located in Marlborough, MA and will be a hybrid role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and verify products to customer requirements in accordance with relevant design standards and Cytiva procedures from initial inquiry to project completion.

  • Generate engineering Bills of Materials, customer-facing documents, and other design outputs within agreed project timelines.

  • Create, review, and approve engineering change orders (ECOs).

  • Provide technical support for other functions (Commercial, Production, Quality, Regulatory).

  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement actions and projects.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems engineering, or STEM related major.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience involving mechanical, electrical and software engineering disciplines.

  • Ability to review, interpret and implement equipment specifications.

  • Knowledge of typical process equipment components such as pumps, valves, heaters, transmitters, and electro-mechanical control elements.

  • Customer-focused mentality, highly organized, comfortable with frequent change and with capability to complete multiple tasks / projects on time.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Pharmaceutical/biotech processes, equipment hardware and single use technology

  • Compliance with quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP.
