Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Understands the requirements of IATF16949

  • Able to work with complexity in Product Development. Proficient at, presenting Technical Information and informing others, use of AutoCAD

  • Demonstrates Leadership and Supervision capabilities.

  • Self-Starter

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, tooling, and materials. Designs and conducts improvements to manufacturing processes. Confers with equipment vendors and solicits observations from operators.

  • Improves manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.

  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.

  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.

  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Provides manufacturing information by answering questions and requests.

  • Maintains product and company reputations by complying with government regulations.

  • Understands, and has the ability to apply the principals of Lean Manufacturing and Kanban.

  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.

  • Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs and entering data.

  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding operating personnel. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Ability to work with a wide range of technical, sales, management, and manufacturing personnel.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

  • Manages the design, development, and completion of assigned capital improvement projects according to project timelines and budgets.

  • Maintains product and process databases.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply the principals of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management and priorities management skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor

  • Familiar with AS400 ERP/MRP systems

  • Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers

  • Metrics driven

  • Familiar with ISO14001

  • Proficient in batch manufacturing processes
